The Field MuseumLearn about everything from science and history to archaeology at The Field Museum. This unique museum, which opened its doors in 1893 as the Columbian Museum of Chicago, boasts a wide array of changing and permanent exhibits. Permanent exhibits include Evolving Planet, Ancient Americas, Traveling the Pacific, Africa, DNA Discovery Center, and Inside Ancient Egypt. The Field Museum is part of Chicago's Museum Campus where the Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium are also housed.
