Celebrate Northalsted Market Days

If there's one constant amidst change in this great city it has to be The Northalsted Market Days.  For the past 35 years this two day street festival has called Boystown its home.  That's right, this great neighborhood- which is called Chicago's proudest, with plenty to see and do on its own- plays host to the largest outdoor street festival in the Midwest!  So come and spend the weekend of August 13th just a bit uptown and check out everything this festival, plus neighborhood, has to offer— accessibility is easy and activities are abundant!

Over 180,000 people flood the streets for the festival's vast array of national talent, unique vendors, arts, crafts, food and drink.  Multiple stages play continuous live music of over 45 bands, nearly 400 craft vendors line the streets with their greatest goods, plus indulge in a wide variety of food and drink options- both from vendors and local restaurants.

Getting to the street festival is easy.  While driving to the event can be tricky with local street closures, Chicago's wide system of public transportation offers plenty of other options.  Coming from the Red/Brown Line take the Belmont Stop, from the Red Line the Addison Stop, plus there are numerous of local buses that offer easy accessibility.

Not only is this festival for your enjoyment, but it also benefits a great cause.  A $10 suggested donation goes toward The Legacy Project— the world's very first outdoor museum, featuring LGBTQ icons throughout history telling their stories.  See you on the weekend of the 13th!
